Practical IT for newbuilds, refits and everyday operations
From a new vessel’s first network plan to a working ship’s next technology refresh, VONE Technology helps owners, managers and shipyards plan, implement and maintain onboard IT. We provide professional, responsive support in the shipyard and at anchorage, with the scope and attendance arranged around your vessel’s requirements.
Discuss your vessel’s IT requirements

Support throughout the vessel lifecycle
Newbuild IT planning and implementation
Plan the network, equipment locations and server environment before installation begins. We work with your project team to align the IT scope with the build schedule, coordinate interfaces and prepare the systems for handover.
Retrofit and technology refresh
Review existing equipment and identify what can be retained, replaced or upgraded. We plan practical migration steps for ageing networks, firewalls and servers, with agreed maintenance windows and rollback considerations.
Upgrades and ongoing support
Adapt your IT infrastructure as operating requirements change. We help investigate issues, implement agreed upgrades and provide the technical documentation your onboard and shoreside teams need.

Shipyard or anchorage: work planned around your vessel
At the shipyard: coordinate surveys, equipment installation, configuration and testing with your project team and the yard’s work programme.
At anchorage: arrange onboard attendance for agreed troubleshooting, upgrades or implementation work, with preparation before boarding to make effective use of the available time.
Attendance and delivery schedules depend on location, access permission, boarding arrangements, equipment availability and an agreed work window. We confirm these requirements with you before mobilisation.
A clear route from enquiry to handover
- Understand the requirement. Share the vessel type, location, planned dates and the IT issue or project scope.
- Review and plan. Assess the available system information, agree the scope and identify dependencies, equipment and access needs.
- Implement and verify. Carry out the agreed work and check the delivered systems against the project requirements.
- Document and hand over. Provide the agreed configuration records, network information and operational handover notes.
